Why I don't wear makeup anymore

Ladies, have you ever questioned why we wear makeup? well for me, it was because my mother did, my grandmother did, and all other women in my family did, so I thought it was just part of growing up. Not that I didn't want to, I just didn't know that there was an alternative. If you have ever heard that makeup was first worn by prostitutes, it's true. And my theory here is that Women began to wear makeup because they thought it would make them appear as a prostitute and get the same male attention as prostitutes do and it caught on from there. Here are my reasons why I personally do not wear makeup:

1) God made me the way he wanted me to look
- I do not believe God made me the way I look so that I can correct it. He doesn't make mistakes. He made me beautiful, in his image. To me, I feel like it's pretty much insulting to God to try to tweak what he created in his image, I mean what am I trying to tell him? God, you didn't make me pretty enough? God, i know I'm made in your image but if I could just fix this one thing here? that's ridiculous. To me, if I proclaim that he is enough, then he is enough.

2) I'm not after the approval of Men.
- If I just wanted to look good for the guys and please them, I would become a prostitute. Ladies, whether you want to believe it or not, A REAL MAN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT MAKEUP, HE LIKES YOU FOR YOU. just to prove this, I texted 9 guys that I knew, in all different walks of faith, and I asked them this: "Just be honest, I am taking a poll. Do you prefer your girlfriend(if you have/had one) to wear makeup? Don't tell me what you think I want to hear, I want to know what you honestly think".  every single one of those guys said they either preferred their girlfriend to NOT wear any makeup at all, or that they wish they wouldn't but if it made them happy then it was okay. I didn't stop wearing make up because guys dont prefer it, I just didn't find it worth it.

3) It is a waste of money
- Think about how much money you spend on makeup. By the time you buy foundation, powder, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, lip liner, and blush, eye shadow, concealer, and a bag to put it all in you have spend close to $30-40 or more on about 4-6weeks worth of makeup. Do you know how many people you could feed with that money? its only $38 to sponsor a child in a poverty stricken country with compassion international. There are so much more we could spend our money on to help people instead of "helping" our own faces.

4) I plan to be a missionary
- I want to be a missionary nurse in a few years. If i am in a country that is poverty stricken and im using my time, money and efforts to help take care of the sick, how is me constantly spending money on makeup going to help me focus my efforts for the bigger mission at hand?

5) A lot of cosmetic products are slave-made.
- in a country where freedom is a big theme, why are we so indifferent about so much slavery? Our apathy leads to the suffering of others and the glorification of self. Covergirl, Revlon, Maybelline, L'oreal, clinique all use slave labor in their make-up production. It's time to stand up.

Ladies, lets be rational. Guys will still like you without makeup. Its not like all of a sudden you don't look feminine enough for them. Guys liked girls for centuries without makeup and they still will. And sure, there will be some shallow guys that are like "im not dating a girl that wont doll up her face"or there may be a jerk guy who says something mean to you because you chose to be different. But guess what, we are not wishing wells, so don't let him throw his 2 cents in. You don't live to please them, you live to please God. You are beautiful, and there will be hundreds to agree with that compared to the 1 that wants to push you down.
